Looking for more emotes
Appologies and a thanks to Arkantos for pointing me to the proper forum.
Suggestion:
Personally, I'd like to see some new emotes added. There's a nice size, but they seem to be geared toward interacting with other players.
I'd like to see some that are geared toward roleplaying.
Off the top of my head, *wishlist*
Tracking.
Player bends on 1 knee- examines the ground to get a feel for where the mobs are heading/right path to take.
-Great for those pauses when I have to look at the map=)
Weapon ready.
Maybe sharpening my sword/axe.
This one is a little on the fence, because I know some will say- yea, right my mesmer doesn't use a sword.
- but he/she could=)
Battlecry.
Just a simple 'ready the troops' type emote.
Research.
Pulls a book/scroll out to look up a spell.
Just a couple I could think of to help me get drawn deeper into the game.
How about you?
Any good ones you'd like to see?
-A.N

I agree, more interactive things need to be added to the game. More emotes, blackjack tables in all of town-like cities and outposts, but not the jungle places, so different towns would develop followings of people who like to hang out there while playing blackjack, poker, etc, and any other non-standard game activity that would make this game fun.
People have been saying how so many gamers are becoming isolationists, and everything is the same old thing, add things that would make people buy GW JUST to hang out in the guild wars world, playing virtual card games, maybe a first person mode where players throw or fire ranged guild wars weapons such as bows, spears, and scepters at each other in a counterstrike manner, but it would be medieval and fantasy weapons, not modern weapons.
IF Anet designers were REALLY genius, they would think up and incorporate new aspects to the game that would make people buy all the GW games JUST to play the new aspects, while completely ignoring original gameplay! :O

Yes please. More emotes would be nice, so long as they aren't too hard to implament (I'd be okay with eles, paragons, and rangers all having the same emotes too if it will cut down on the work load to get this ones made, ie duplicate the models). I really want a /shrug emote... I mean, come on...

/rantingsofalunatic: your character waves his arms hysterically, shouting phrases like "Fear my nub!" or "I do not fear you, give me cheese!", or everyone's favorite "Silence, pig-man! For I shall eat your gravy and laugh on your grave!", or "Oh my god, these hands! I cannot get them off my wrists! AUGHHHHH!" for the CE crowd. I'd laugh my ass off if I saw someone doing this ingame.
/melodramaticprose: Character would sigh longingly, and contemplate suicide :P
/fingerpyramidofdoom: character would do the finger pyramid of doom and laugh evil-ey.

/cry
/surprised
/sleep
Things id like to see with emotes:
1)The current ones updated, now that we have mouth movement. (ie /laugh)
2)Idle characters do a random emote every minute or so, like henchmen.

I would love this to go in. I need /shrug and /cry so bad. /sigh just doesn't cut it anymore. And we need an emote to go as the opposite of /boo. /surprised or /shock like you all said would be fine. I'm always up for more ways to interact with others in character.

/uberleetdoomsdaydevice - The enemies near you die.
Lol yeah new emotes would be good and I agree about updating the existing ones to incorperate mouth movement. Some more emotes like /beckon that could be used while outside would be good.

I would like some emotes that would be given from 1 char to another, like:
/blowkiss *name*
/wave *name*
/taunt *name*
(yes, I know wave and taunt already exist, but I want it to be given, u remember)
